OPPO is working on a new firmware for its devices fully based on AOSP with some core additional features of its ColorOS ROMs, like Camera, Off-screen gestures, audio enhancement etc.
OPPO R7 Plus has got Project Spectrum v1.0i Beta update based on Android M which has been ported to YU Yureka and Yureka Plus. This ROM gives the user a pure AOSP experience with some essential features added. Unlike ColorOS there are no complications with SuperSU, Xposed or any other mods in this ROM.
You can tweak it as you like. This ROM has best battery saving features among Marshmallow based ROMs. Doze, Multiwindow, System tweaking works well.

Features
1. Screen-off Gestures:Project Spectrum now supports double tap to wake up/turn off the screen, draw a circle to open the camera app and custom a gesture to open an application.
This feature is turned off by default, to use it please enable it in Settings -> Accessibility -> Screen-off gestures
Yureka users have to use Vishal Gohel's GeXture app for extra custom gestures
2. ColorOS Camera
The Camera app ported from ColorOS is supporting the following plugins: Beautify, Filters, HDR, GIF, Double exposure and Expert Mode
3. ColorOS Photos
The Photos app is a simplified version from ColorOS with key features needed to work properly with the Camera App
4. Beautiful Wallpapers
Carefully selected some beautiful wallpapers from ColorOS as preset wallpapers for you
Some Operations That's Different in Spectrum
1. Open Task Manager/RecentsTo enable task manager please double tap the home button
2. Take a Screenshot
To take a screenshot please hold Power + Volume Down for 2 seconds
3. Enable Software Keys
To enable software keys please go to Settings -> Display -> Use Software Keys turn the switch on

How to Install
- Download the latest build of Project Spectrum v1.0i Beta ROM for Yureka or Yureka Plus
- Reboot to TWRP Recovery
- Wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache from advanced wipe menu
- Flash Project Spectrum ROM and fixes (if any)
- Reboot (It may reboot 1-2 times on YU logo due to System-less SuperSU, don't interrupt the process. First boot may take up to 15 to 20 mins.)

ReplyDeleteOne Q from me : Since I never use any of google apps and that appstore thing , never ever , then still do I have to flash gapps ? I download apks from browser directly and never flashed gapps before , so got no idea about the consequences of not flashing gapps.

No, it's not mandatory to flash Gapps and in this ROM Gapps is inbuilt.
